JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A hole in the road that closed two lanes of Interstate 95 near Hendricks Avenue has been repaired and the highway reopened.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office blocked off two lanes of I-95 southbound before Hendricks Avenue, due to a hole in the road.
JSO responded to the scene around 8 a.m. Wednesday. It's not yet clear what caused the hole in the roadway or how wide it is.
Mike Goldman with the Florida Department of Transportation said crews are working to repair the hole. Work is expected to last through rush hour on Wednesday. They hope to have work done by the end of the day.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area.
