Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library to hold book sale

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library will be holding a book warehouse sale that will last over the course of several days.

The sale, which along with sales from FJPL's bookstores, will help to supplement the library's budget. It will take place at the Book Warehouse, which is located at University Park Library, 3435 University Boulevard N.

Members of FJPL will get the first crack at the inventory this Friday, and three nights will include $10 bag specials, which will allow you to pay $10 for all the books you can stuff into a paper grocery bag. The following is the full schedule for the sale:

      Aug. 24 - 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (FJPL member night)
      Aug. 25 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      Aug. 26 - 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ($10 bag special)
      Aug. 28 - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ($10 bag special)
      Aug. 30 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ($10 bag special)

"We've made room for more books," said FJPL president Harry Reagan. "Installation of additional shelving makes it possible for us  to display more books. Shoppers will find some great bargains."

Memberships for FJPL can be purchased at the sale as well: $12.50 for a family membership, $7.50 for an individual, and $5 for students/seniors. For more information, visit the FJPL website.
