TAMPA, Fla. -- Jacksonville's own Lynyrd Skynyrd will be performing at an event outside of the Republican National Convention to raise money for an organization that assists members of the military and their families.
The legendary Southern rock band will be performing on August 26 as part of the Citizens Helping Heroes presents Southern Tribute IV Honoring America's Heroes.
The concert is open to paid sponsors and their guests, according to a release about the event.
The concert will take place just outside the Tampa Bay Times Forum at The American Action Network Pavilion at Liberty Plaza, located at the corner of S. Morgan and E. Whiting streets.
Other acts that are slated to perform include Trace Adkins on August 28 and Kid Rock on August 29.
