FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- Flagler County Sheriff's Office Deputy Steve Williams had to put his cowboy skills to work on Thursday morning when he had to lasso a furry, four-legged suspect that was tying up traffic.

A mini horse was found on State Road 100 between County Roads 205 and 305 just before 7 a.m., according to a release from FCSO Public Information Officer Debra Johnson.

Williams was able to guide the auburn-haired, blue-eyed horse to County Road 205 and get her off of the main highway. He was then able to slip a lasso around her neck after he coaxed her to the rear of his patrol vehicle.

The horse was returned to her owner and barn on County Road 25 shortly after 8 a.m.
