When Bacca was originally arrested on July 24, Duval County Public Schools spokeswoman Jill Johnson said that Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals would be recommending termination.
Johnson said the district is expediting its examination of its human resources policies. Johnson said the examination is not being done specifically due to the allegations against Bacca but has been ongoing for several months.
Bacca taught at Long Branch Elementary School from 2008 to 2010 and Windy Hill Elementary School from 2010 to 2012. He was a Teacher of the Year candidate in 2012.
