JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who may be responsible for numerous car thefts.
Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Homard Place on Tuesday, July 24 shortly before noon after reports that a vehicle had been burglarized, according to a news release from Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Public Information Shannon Hartley.
Hartley said the vehicle, which was one of several broken into in the area, was parked in the driveway of the home and that a window was broken out. A person then stole the victim's cell phone and credit cards, among other items.
A black male who is described as "having feminine mannerisms" attempted to sell the stolen items at a local business and used the credit cards multiple times at a local gas station, Hartley said.
Surveillance video at the store captured an image of the man police believe is responsible for the theft.
Anyone with information about the identify or location of the suspect is asked to contact the JSO at 904-630-0500 or via email at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
