Jaguars beat deadline with deal for Josh Scobee

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars and Josh Scobee won their game of Beat the Clock, reaching a four-year contract extension just under two hours from today's deadline.

The franchised kicker's deal was first reported by Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union.

Teams have until 4:00 p.m. ET Monday to reach long-term deals with tagged players. So far, 11 of the 21 tagged players have done so.

(UPDATE: 2:21 p.m.) Ganguli reports the deal is worth $13.8 million total, with $4.75 million guaranteed.
