FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A friend of a Florida teenager attacked by an alligator called 911 for help while yelling at the 17-year-old to get out of the water.
MORE: Florida alligator attack prompts safety recommendations In a 911 call released Wednesday, one of Kaleb Langdale's friends told the dispatcher that "a gator just got my friend" and the teen's arm wasn't attached. The caller also yells at Langdale to get out of the Caloosahatchee River.

He was hospitalized in good condition, though doctors couldn't reattach his arm. His aunt, LaDawn Hayes, tells the News-Press that Langdale had surgery Wednesday to remove dead tissue from the injured arm. The teen's family is seeking donations to help with his medical expenses.
