ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- On Tuesday, a judge sentenced 47-year-old John David Hussey to 30 years in prison for sexual battery.
Hussey previously pleaded no contest to sexual battery engage sex conduct minor 12 to 18 years, a first degree felony; promoting sexual performance of a child, a second degree felony; and sexual battery engage sex conduct minor 12 to 18 years, a first degree felony, according to a news release from Sate Attorney R.J. Larizza's office.
Hussey was arrested in August of 2011.
In addition to the 30-year prison sentence, Circuit Judge Wendy Berger also sentenced Hussey to 15 years of sexual offender probation. Hussey was also designated a sexual offender.
The victim told the court in 2006, when she was 15 years old, Hussey had sexual intercourse with her. The victim said he continued to abuse her on numerous occasions after that time.
