JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Transportation has a detour scheduled for Monday night that will impact northbound I-295 east at State Road 9A between Philips Highway and Baymeadows Road.
CHECK CURRENT TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
The project will close all northbound lanes on I-295. The lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. Monday, July 9th until 5 a.m. Tuesday. The lanes are being closed so road crews can construct a new overpass connection to State Road 9B.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, road crews will close one lane northbound and one lane southbound.
If you are traveling northbound on I-295 east/State Road 9A from the I-95 interchange you will have to exit at Philips Highway and travel north to Southside Boulevard. Traffic will then turn east on Baymeadows Road to get back to I-295 east/State Road 9A.
Southbound I-295 east/State Road 9A will remain open.
Construction of the new State Road 9B from I-295 east/State Road 9A traveling south to US 1 is scheduled to be completed in late 2012.
