Road closures before, during and after Jacksonville fireworks

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The City of Jacksonville's Fourth of July fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m., last about 12 minutes, and close some of the city's bridges and roads before, during and after the show.

Here is a list from the city of what roads will be closed and when:

Hogan Street from Water Street to the St. Johns River
Closed: Wednesday, July 4 at 7 a.m. - Thursday, July 5 at 2 a.m.
 
Sister Cities from Hogan Street to the cul-de-sac
Closed: Wednesday, July 4 at 7 a.m. - Thursday, July 5 at 2 a.m.
 
Independent Drive from Hogan Street East to Laura Street
Closed: Wednesday, July 4 at 7 a.m. - Thursday, July 5 at 2 a.m.
 
Coastline Drive from The Jacksonville Landing to Newnan Street
Closed: Wednesday, July 4 at 7 a.m. - Thursday, July 5 at 2 a.m.
 
The Main St. Bridge and Acosta Bridge will be closed during the fireworks show and will reopen immediately following the show.
Bridges will remain closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from the start of the fireworks show until show clean-up is complete.
