NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. -- In new dash cam video, Nassau County Commissioner Stacy Johnson can be seen talking to officers for several minutes during her Friday night DUI arrest.
While talking with officers in front of her home, you can see her waving her arms. She is standing still, not moving around.
We know from audio recordings released earlier that she refused a breathalyzer test and demanded to be given her phone back to call her attorney.
After two minutes, she is handcuffed by officers and does not resist. A minute later, two officers lead her to the police car and she appears to be unsteady, slightly wobbling while walking.
A few seconds later, she backs up from the car, but officers then place her in the back seat.
This arrest occurs after a motorist called 911 to report an erratic driver. During those 911 calls, the motorist following Johnson's Toyota SUV does not realize a female driver is at the wheel but she describes what she sees to the dispatcher:
"I am behind a car that almost ... he's been weaving in and out of traffic and he almost hit a car going head on. I think he might be drunk."
"Oh he has hit the curb of the median on A1A, right before the bridge"
In radio transmissions released from the patrol car following Johnson, the officer describes the vehicle going off the road three times in the space of a minute.
