POMONA PARK, Fla. -- Three Putnam County residents have been arrested on cocaine and marijuana possession charges.
Putnam County Sheriff's Department deputies noticed a poorly parked Chevrolet Impala in the 200 block of Bass Trail with three people inside on Saturday. When they investigated, the deputies found the driver, Dwight Milton, had two active arrest warrants, according to a news release from Captain Johnny Greenwood.
Milton was trying to hide something, according to Greenwood, which turned out to be a baggie containing what deputies suspected to be crack cocaine. While interviewing Milton, they noticed that Lynn Louise May, 48, a passenger, was concealing something in her mouth.
When told to remove it, May spit out a twenty dollar bill that contained a small amount of marijuana wrapped inside, according to Greenwood.
Rodney Bryant Jr., 30, was also in the Impala and taken into custody after being questioned by deputies.
Milton, 23, of Crescent City has been charged with distribution of cocaine, possession of marijuana and two warrants for violation of probation. At last report, he was being detained without bond.
May and Bryant were both charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. They were booked into the Putnam county Jail, each with a bond of $3,008.
