JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan's company was fined $57,000 by OSHA.
The violations stem from an investigation at his plant in Urbana, Ill., a month before he bought the NFL team.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited Flex-N-Gate with nine serious safety violations "for failing to monitor workers' exposure to nickel, chromium, hydrolic acide and sulfuric acid" while cleaning tanks, an OSHA release stated.
"OSHA is committed to protecting workers on the job, especially when employers fail to do so," said OSHA area director Tom Bielema in the statement.
A serious violation, according to OSHA, is when "there is substantial probability that death or serious physical harm could result from a hazard about which the employer knew or should have known."
Flex-N-Gate had nine serious violations.
Flex-N-Gate did not answer a phone call to its corporate office Saturday night. A Jaguars spokesman didn't immediately return an e-mail message seeking comment late Saturday.
