ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Flames damaged a home in the 200 block of Bell Branch Lane Saturday afternoon.
St. Johns Fire Rescue said the family and their pets were not home when the fire started.
Rescue workers said the home, which is believed to be occupied by a family of four, sustained heavy fire damage and is most likely not be livable at this time. Assistance from the Red Cross was offered to the family, but was refused, as they had other means of shelter.
The fire department said homes nearby were not damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
