JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sure, Suzanne Perritt can handle your terrestrial family vacation but, if you're interested in something less grounded, she's really good at that too.
"I'm a Virgin Galactic accredited space agent," she said.
That means she can book you a $200,000 trip to 62 miles above the surface of the earth in one of Sir Richard Branson's space ships.
His company, Virgin Galactic, is testing one ship now and is hoping to develop several to accommodate the 500 regular citizens who have signed up to be astronauts.
"It's going to be a few years before we can get everyone in the air," Perritt said.
Perritt is the only space agent in Jacksonville, and is one of four others across the state of Florida.
She says 500 people have signed up for the ride, but none from the First Coast have yet.
"I have a list of people who want to do it, but they want to see it fly first."
She says there have been successful test runs, but have not taken their first load of passengers up for a zero-gravity ride at the top of the atmosphere.
