MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire at a Clay County business that left the building damaged and injured a firefighter, according to a release from Clay County Fire Rescue.
The fire broke out at Woody's Wheels in the 2300 block of Blanding Blvd. at about 6:40 Wednesday night, Capt. Ron Hildum wrote in the release.
When firefighters got there, Hildum said they encountered heavy fire inside the building.
Despite crews knocking the fire down within two minutes of arrival and getting the fire completely out in under 20 minutes, Hildum said the $150,000 building sustained heavy smoke and heat damage.
None of the building's occupants were injured, but Hildum said a firefighter suffered what appeared to be a minor injury. Hildum did not expand on what that injury is.
