PALM COAST, Fla. -- A 76-year-old woman has been charged with careless driving after driving her car through a Publix on Saturday afternoon, leaving eight people with minor injuries and two people seriously injured.
Thelma Wagenhoffer was ordered to appear in court due to the severity of the injuries the accident caused, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Wagenhoffer drove a 2004 Toyota Camry through the front of the the Publix supermarket at 4950 Belle Terre Parkway, striking doors, walls and pedestrians.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report said.
