ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- It's a business that's been at the heart of controversy over an alcohol sales ordinance in Orange Park, and now, even though it's closed, Club Christopher's is still making a statement.
The signs at the business say the business closed due to racism.
Club Christopher's is one of a handful of dance clubs along Wells Road that is being forced to close its doors by 2016 under that ordinance.
Until then, those clubs will have to halt alcohol sales at 11 p.m.
The ordinance also prohibits other clubs from opening along Wells Road.
