MACCLENNY, Fla. -- It was likely a cigarette that sparked a truck fire that left one man dead last Saturday morning, according to Sheriff Joey Dobson with the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
Dobson said the victim is 50-year-old George O'Brien His body was found inside the burning vehicle near Robbie's Auto Parts, located at 285 Blair Street in Macclenny.
O'Brien's family reported him missing on Saturday, and Dobson said he was at a relatives house at about 3:30 that morning. He popped up on a business's surveillance video at about 4 a.m.
Dobson wasn't sure how O'Brien ended up in the vehicle but said O'Brien died from smoke inhalation.
