ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Two men in their twenties died early this morning in St. Johns County after their car crashed and caught fire.
Two others managed to escape and were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a Chevy Impala was traveling north on A1A south of Mickler's Landing when the car crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway onto the west shoulder. The vehicle then came back across the centerline and ran onto the east shoulder. The Impala then struck a tree and overturned.
The car caught fire after coming to rest on it's roof.
23-year old Wiley Garrett Jr. of Jacksonville and 24-year old Ralph Lauder De Los Reyes of Jacksonville died at the scene.
Raven Bishop, 22, of Hortense, Georgia was taken to Shands Jacksonville with serious injuries. Margarita Tesic, 24, from Jacksonville, was taken to Baptist Beaches with serious injuries.
