JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville woman was arrested for hitting her daughter-in-law with a sock containing a tuna can.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Police said Raquel Sanchez, 62, entered Lucy's Salon on Blanding Boulevard and hit her daughter-in-law Luz Rivera, 44, in the head with a sock which contained a hard object. Rivera thought it was a bar of soap, but it was a tuna can.

The police report said Sanchez hit Rivera repeatedly and pulled her hair. Sanchez then started to throw Rivera's hair styling equipment on the floor.

She then went into the kitchen and grabbed a fork, the report said. A customer grabbed it out of her hand.

Sanchez was taken to jail and charged with aggravated assault.
