JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run.

It happened Monday morning off 6000 block of Youngerman Circle. Police tell First Coast News a motorcycle was going westbound on Youngerman when a vehicle turned in front of it.  The two collided.

The biker, 42-year-old Ronald M. Gilmore, was taken to Shands Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives believe the vehicle, which backed up and drove away without rendering aid, is a light-colored or white four-door Dodge Dakota pickup truck.  The vehicle should have damage on the front driver's side.  The attached photos are of a similar vehicle.
