JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- They don't plan on getting arrested, but do want to raise awareness in Jacksonville.
The "occupy" movement has gone from Wall Street to Washington, DC, to Los Angeles and now Jacksonville.
A website called Occupy Jacksonville is calling for people to meet at noon Saturday in Hemming Plaza for a peace and solidarity meeting.
Geno Burch is a supporter and he joined us live on Good Morning Jacksonville Friday.
"With the people joining together then we can have our voice be heard because the top corporations have ignored us for so long," said Burch.
Responding to a First Coast News Facebook fan, Burch said they are against corporate greed and government regulations.
The Occupy Jacksonville folks say Saturday's meeting in the Hemming Plaza is just to organize what is expected to be an even larger, national movement come Oct. 15.
