JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The woman jailed for running over her boyfriend with an SUV reportedly called one of his relatives right after it happened.

Police got a call before sunrise Saturday to Waller Street, at the end of the Interstate 10 west exit ramp onto McDuff Avenue, saying a man had been run over.

Police arrived and found a man deceased alongside the roadway, and the woman driving the SUV was still on the scene.

Investigators concluded the two were in a relationship and had been arguing as they drove west on I-10.

Lt. Rob Schoonover said Lamarca Deshon Wilcox, 37, got out and started walking along the offramp when 39-year-old Vonice Charelle Green, driving fast, jumped over the median and ran into Wilcox, killing him.

Witnesses said Green called one of Wilcox's relatives, saying, "I ran over Shon, he's not moving, I've got to call 911."

Green is charged with murder.
