Volunteers with the Farm To Fridge Tour in Fort Lauderdale
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- If you were planning on grabbing dinner on Jacksonville Beach tonight, you may get a little something extra.
But the movie that animal rights group Mercy for Animals is playing this evening may not be "date-night" material.
From 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, the organization, which advocates vegetarianism, parked a retrofitted truck with three 80-inch TV screens at Ocean Front North and Second Avenue North.
The screens showed a 12-minute film called "Farm to Fridge."
It's a graphic video that organizers said shows the cruelty that farm animals face as they wait for and then head to slaughter.
Again, the video is graphic.
