FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A 16-year old girl died in a one-car accident on US-1 shortly before midnight Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Shaklyia Chess drove into the median, corrected right and went across southbound lanes onto the west shoulder, spun and the right side of her Infinity collided with trees.
She died at the scene. The FHP says she was not wearing a seatbelt
The accident happened south of Bunnell.
