PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- A woman accused of trying to extort money from her husband by faking her own kidnapping knows her punishment.
Quinn Gray pleaded no contest today to the charge threats or extortion, a second-degree felony.
The judge then sentenced Quinn to seven years of probation. She'll also have to attend counseling and pay $43,000 to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office for the cost of the investigation.
Prosecutors say Quinn conspired with an auto shop operator, Jasmin Osmanovic, to come up with a fake kidnapping plot to extort money from her husband, Reid.
Osmanovic pleaded guilty to extortion last January. He'll be sentenced in March.
Gray and her husband have since divorced.
