JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two main thoroughfares have reopened after this afternoon's rains caused crashes up and down the city's roads.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the closure of the Main Street Bridge in both directions because of a crash.
Also at that time, JTB westbound at Southside Boulevard was closed because of a crash.
Both reopened around 6:30 p.m.
As rush hour approached, the Florida Highway Patrol was able to clear other crashes from interstate travel lanes except for a crash at I-95 and Duval Road on the Northside. Details from that wreck have not been released.
