3 teens, 1 adult shot just miles apart

JACKSONVILLE (WTLV/WJXX) -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after three people were shot Sunday night.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on the 2500 block of Robert Street.

Investigators said when they arrived on the scene, they found a 17-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, and an adult female with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their legs. All victims were taken to UF Shands for treatment.  They are all expected to be ok.

The victims told police an unknown vehicle drove by and opened fire on them.


Police also say a 14-year-old was shot in the leg Sunday night.

The shooting happened at West 9th Street and Myrtle Avenue after 10:30 p.m.

Officers said they responded to a call of someone being shot.  When they arrived on the scene, they found a 14-year-old male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.  He was taken to UF Shands for treatment.  He is expected to be ok.
