PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A 22-month-old boy was bitten on the face and arm by a dog while he and him mother visited a friend.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case and said that the dog has been secured at this time. The little boy and his mom left the residence in Melrose and waited for officials at a convenience store. From there, the boy was taken to UF Health in Gainesville with life-threatening injuries.
