14-year-old accused of burglarizing JSO officer's home and stealing truck,, guns and dog

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says a 14-year-old male is accused of breaking into the home of a police officer while he was at work. 

First Coast News is not identifying the teen since he is a minor. 

Police say the teen took guns, his truck and his dog. The dog has yet to be recovered. 

Officers noticed a stolen vehicle leaving an apartment complex around 9 p.m. and led police on a chase. The suspect driving what turned out to be the officer's stolen truck rammed into police cars and crashed into a telephone pole.

One suspect was taken into custody and another ran - police say they couldn't find him. A weapon was also found in the truck.

The teen was arrested for armed burglary and auto theft.
