Walmart hiring up to 95 new people in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A new Walmart Neighborhood Market opening fall 2014 is looking to hire more than 90 associates.

According to store manager Anthony Dennis, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates. "We are excited to bring a new Walmart Neighborhood Market to this area of Jacksonville," said Dennis. "I'm pleased to bring up to 95 new jobs with career opportunities for area resident."

Applicants can complete an application at the temporary hiring center located at 6855 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 23, Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Applications are also available online.

Qualified veterans who have been honorably discharged within the past 12 months will be offered a job through Walmart's Veterans Welcome Home Committment.

The majority of new associates will begin work in September to help prepare the store for its grand opening.

*Veterans must be within 12 months of active duty and meet Walmart's standard hiring criteria.
