San Marco restaurant to reopen after Irma damage, hosts job fair

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A restaurant that was hit hard by Hurricane Irma announced Thursday that it's not only planning to reopen soon, but it will also be hosting a job fair this weekend.

Bistro Aix sustained damage and flooding during Hurricane Irma back in September. The extent of the damage forced the business to temporarily close down back in October.

Several surrounding businesses in San Marco also received extensive damage. Some businesses like Kitchen on San Marco had to close its doors permanently.

Bistro Aix didn't announce when it plans to reopen, but made it known in a Facebook post that it could be soon. It also announced that it's hiring all new staff.

A job fair is set for Saturday, December 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bistro AIX at 1440 San Marco Blvd.
