DALLAS -- Finding the best deals on travel can be tough these days, especially when there are so many websites claiming to be the best.
Travelers Earl and Katina Potts are off to Cancun on a vacation they booked online, but the search for the best deal wasn't an easy task.
When talking about which websites they used Katina said that there were a bunch and it took her a very long time to go through them all.
A website called Consumer Search might help individuals find the site that is most suitable for them.
What Consumer Search does is review all the different reviews from different organizations and consumer reports to find out what websites the experts liked the most.
Kayak.com gets the gold star as the best place to begin because it searches hundreds of websites to find deals on whatever you need.
If you're looking for a rock bottom price, the experts like Hotwire, especially the airfare "clearance sales."
Mobissimo.com gets the most votes for international travel, and for a steal on luxury hotels, reviewers choose Priceline.
"Priceline is good if you're a flexible traveler," said Potts.
Finally, the experts pick Expedia for packages that include airfare, hotel, and car rental.
Earl and Katina know if you find the right site, it's easy to grab a deal on a much-needed getaway.
