PALM HARBOR, FL -- Tonya Rainbolt says it wasn't easy finding a condo complex where she and her dog Sasha could live, "Yes tons of places would not even accept my dog, so it was nice to find a group of people, lot of dog owners are here." Tonya decided to buy a place at Madison Oaks because it's pet friendly, "When you take walks you have the little areas to pick up after your dog it's just really convenient."
Madison Oaks spokesperson John Heagney says being pet friendly is part of a new marketing strategy to attract more buyers, "What we found from experience is that a lot of the people who either requested information or are considering a place to buy, there's a consideration of whether or not we accept pets, was a very very strong element of their buying decision."
At Madison Oaks, the dog park is a big attraction. Even in the model homes, you can bet any dog will feel comfortable in this doggie furniture, "Canine chic so the owners can see how well the dogs fit in and have fun with it as well."
It's also a way to beat out their dog gone competition, "One of the market segments that we feel is important to keeping our sales going."
Tonya says she and Sahsa feel right at home, "I've met people who introduced me to a vet, I've got a little clique going we meet at the park, it's nice. We have friends, Sasha has plenty of friends on property too."
