TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida's unemployment rate takes another big dive.
The latest report shows the jobless rate dropped four-tenths of a point to 8.1 percent in November.
That's tied with the biggest one-month drop in 20 years, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
One year ago, the unemployment rate stood at 10.1 percent.
Gov. Rick Scott says Florida has created more than 200,000 private-sector jobs since he took office in January 2011. A total of 760,000 Floridians remain out of work.
In Tampa, the unemployment rate dropped one-tenth of a point to 8.1 percent. In Jacksonville, the rate also fell one-tenth of a point to 7.6 percent.
