WASHINGTON (AP) - Quite a bit is on the schedule today in Washington that's of interest in the financial markets, as well as elsewhere.
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke testifies on the economic outlook to the Joint Economic Committee. His testimony comes a day after the release of the Beige Book economic survey.
Also, the Labor Department releases weekly jobless claims, while Freddie Mac reports on the weekly mortgage rate averages.
The Fed has a report on April consumer credit.
