JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A bicyclist is dead after getting hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning near Carmichael Ave and Beach Blvd, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reports.
According to police, 64-year-old William Leroy Weeks was attempting to cross in front of stopped traffic when they were hit by a Tahoe. The Tahoe was then rear-ended by another vehicle. The driver of the Tahoe is cooperating with police. Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor at this time.
