JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns notched another win Sunday afternoon afternoon over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, topping the Southern League rivals, 6-5, at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

The Suns got things started quickly, scoring the first four runs on the game. Moises Sierra started things off with a three-run shot in the bottom of the first. One inning later, Jacksonville added another run with a Jarlin Garcia RBI single.

Pensacola would answer in the top of the fourth on a wild play that involved a missed catch error and a throwing error by third baseman Avery Romero. The wild play resulted in Pensacola getting on the scoreboard on a fielder's choice.

Three batters later the Blue Wahoos would add two more on an RBI single from Tony Renda, to make the score 4-3 Suns.

Pensacola kept things going in the top of the fourth with a two-run homerun by Jacksonville native, Kyle Parker. The Bartram Trail alum gave the Blue Wahoos their first lead of the game, 5-4.

However, Jacksonville would score two in the bottom in the sixth in the form of an Avery Romero sacrifice fly and a throwing error one batter later by the Blue Wahoos. The inning would give the Suns a 6-5 lead they would never relinquish.

Tyler Bremer picked up the win for the Suns, despite only pitching one full inning. Raudel Lazo earned his first save of the season. Jimmy Moran took the loss for Pensacola.

The Suns and Blue Wahoos finish their five-game series, Monday at 7:05 p.m., at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
