FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left the AFC Championship Game Sunday against the Jaguars due to a head injury.
Gronkowski was hit in the head by Jaguars safety Barry Church toward the end of the second quarter. He left the game before the Patriots scored a touchdown on a one-yard run.
Church was whistled for an unnecessary roughness penalty. The flag moved the Patriots up field 15 yards.
The All-Pro tight end produced 21 receiving yards on one catch in the first half. His return was ruled out in the third quarter.
