AFC South Update: Jaguars have one-game advantage over Titans

The Jaguars are back on top.

The Jaguars regained sole possession of the AFC South lead Sunday following a 30-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks at EverBank Field.

Now 9-4, the Jaguars have a one-game advantage over the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans are 8-5 following a 12-7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14.

Both teams can control their own destinies moving forward, as the Week 17 rematch could still determine the division winner.

The Jaguars will face the Houston Texans at home next week and then travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers in Week 16.

The Titans will face the 49ers on the road next week and then host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.

If the Jaguars were to beat the Texans and 49ers, the Titans would need to win all three of their remaining games to win the division.

Tennessee currently owns the head-to-head tie-breaker over Jacksonville due to a Week 2 win over the Jaguars.

Jacksonville can afford to lose to the Texans or 49ers with the one-game advantage. If the Titans lose to either the Rams or 49ers, the Jaguars could clinch the division by winning their next two games.

If both teams go undefeated, Week 17 will be for the division.

The Titans haven't won the division since 2008. The Jaguars have never won the AFC South.
