Morning round of rain; Drier afternoon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Keep the umbrellas handy first thing this morning! A dominant southwest flow from Gulf of Mexico brings in the rain early and reaches the beach by 8 a.m. Most areas will dry out by late morning and early afternoon with highs near 90. One area to watch for a more typical late day storm will be from Waycross to Brunswick between 4-7 p.m.

Weekly Outlook: Temperatures will top out near-average with lows in the middle 70s and highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The moist flow continues through much of the work week and keeps daily thunderstorm chances high.

Tropics: Quiet for now! No development is expected within the next 5 days.
