JACKSONVILLE, FLA.---Dry air now in place. This makes for cool mornings and helps us handle the afternoon heat.
The Keetch-Byram Drought Index shows the worst of the drought is over with the worst part of it over Central Florida in the orange and yellow where the soil is dry. We are in the blue and teal which means our soil moisture has been replenished.
Friday a cool start and warm finish but still comfortable with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
Holiday Weekend: The heat hits but staying dry with only a slight chance of a storm on Monday. Highs in the lower to middle 90s. Have the sunscreen ready.
