JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two New Orleans entrepreneurs have developed an app that lets folks know where the nearest bathroom is, and allows homeowners to let strangers rent their toilet for a fee.
It was born out of basic supply and demand logic.
During Mardi Gras, there are so few public toilets, with so many desperate people, that the idea of paying to use a commode made sense.
So the app, called AirPnP lets folks know where the nearest bathroom is... and what the price will be to use it.
There's a map within the interface, and there are currently 39 toilet landlords in New Orleans letting folks use their facilities from $3-$5 a pop.
It has not started here in Jacksonville, yet. Though it makes you wonder if RV City during Florida-Georgia week would be an opportune time to cash in.
