ST. AUGUSTINE -- Forty-four artists statewide will be having a "paint out" during a weeklong event through Saturday.
"Painting the Region: The Bartram Trail" is an outdoor art event, hosted by the North Florida Land Trust. It is designed to celebrate the beauty of the Bartram Scenic and Historic Highway. It is going on from Oct. 6-10 all along the trail.
Spectators can see the painters and their work between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. The art is for sale and on exhibit. The event is designed to support the the land trust and the St. Johns Cultural Council.
The finale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday at Alpine Groves County Park and includes historical reenactors, food, music, painting demonstrations and children's activities. The day concludes with an exhibition and sale of work produced during the paint-out.
