JACKSONVILLE, FL -- You can bowl for a good cause this weekend. Some local celebrities will take part in the second annual "Stars & Strikes Celebrity Charity Bowl."
It benefits the Clara White Mission. Jaguars players Scott Starks and Rashean Mathis are hosting the event. Other players will bowl with them.
The two cornerbacks talked with First Coast News Anchor/Reporter Angela Spears Wednesday on Good Morning Jacksonville about "Stars & Strikes." They also talked a little about the upcoming football season. You can watch the interview by clicking on the video tab.
"Stars & Strikes Celebrity Charity Bowl" is Saturday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Bowl America (11141 Beach Boulevard). You can meet local celebrities and get their autographs.
Sponsorships range from $250 - $1,000 per team. Teams for those 16 and under are $100. You can reserve a lane by calling (904) 354-4162. All of the proceeds go to the Clara White Mission.
The Clara White Mission has been in the community for 103 years. It works to improve the lives of the homeless and disadvantaged. Employees and volunteers provide meals, education and job training.
