(USA TODAY) -- Do No Harm did too much harm to NBC.
The network has yanked the series from its schedule after two episodes and a worst-ever ratings record.
Harm, starring Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me) as a surgeon with a Jekyll-and-Hyde-style split personality, premiered last Thursday with 3.1 million viewers, the lowest turnout on a major network for a new drama in the regular TV season. Thursday, its second episode sunk to 2.2 million.
Remaining episodes are unlikely to air anytime soon.
Instead, for the next two weeks, NBC will air repeats of Law & Order: SVU in the 10 p.m. ET/PT time period on Thursday. March will likely see further reshuffling as two other dramas, Deception and Smash, which returned this week, also have been rejected by viewers.
Among potential reinforcements are another new drama, Hannibal (about the Silence of the Lambs character) and Ready for Love, a dating show produced by Eva Longoria that is currently not slated to air until March 31.
