Just months after selling Lucasfilm - and the rights to his Star Wars legacy - for $4.05 billion to the Walt Disney Co., Lucas, 68, is embarking on a new adventure with longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson. The couple are engaged after seven years of dating, a rep for Lucasfilm confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hobson, 43, is chairman for DreamWorks Animation and head of a Chicago-based investment management firm. It will be the first marriage for Hobson and the second for the famed director. Lucas was married to Marcia Lucas from 1969 to 1983.

No word yet on any wedding plans.
