Leave it to the Grammys to spice up the nominations announcement with
a concert. No sleepy presenters ticking names off a list at 8 a.m. ET
like the Oscars or Golden Globes. Keeping with the five-year tradition,
the Grammy nominations announcements will be squeezed in between
performances by artists like Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo, at a palatable 10 p.m.
ET on Dec. 5.
Joining the fray this year are the impossibly good
looking Hunter Hayes and rock veterans The Who, who will receive the
lifetime achievement award. The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley pool their
talents in a tribute to the late Johnny Cash.
Maroon 5, Ne-Yo,
Luke Bryan and fun. were previously announced to perform. After the
show, Maroon 5 will play a one-hour concert, not to be aired.
Longtime
host LL Cool J and six-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift will share
hosting duties in Nashville, where the show lands for the first time.
Set
your DVR for Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Then tune back in on Feb. 10,
8 p.m. ET (CBS) for the 55th annual Grammy awards show.
