Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler is defending himself and apologizing to Nicki Minaj for remarks about American Idol and Bob Dylan.
"I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki," the Aerosmith rocker said on eTalk, a Canadian entertainment show. "But I am the farthest from (being a racist)," he said. "I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don't know where she got that out of me saying I'm not sure how she would've judged Bob Dylan."
Minaj took to Twitter to slam Tyler for his remark that she "would have sent (Dylan) to the cornfield" if he'd come on Idol.
"Maybe I spoke out of turn," he said. "But a racist I'm not, Nicki."
